Trained Labrador - Service Dog Dropout for sale in Santee, California

$500

Service Dog dropout seeking wonderful pet home. Includes free private lessons for life so the new owner family learns how to properly reinforce current training. This dog has failed public access testing so can?t be used as a service dog in public settings, but could potentially assist someone within the home with the current training tasks already known.
Valerie is a 1-year-old, spayed female, American Labrador Retriever, black in color. Current on all medical treatment, vaccines and microchipped.
She is already trained in Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Wait, Come, Touch, Watch Me, Leave It, Off, Inside/Outside, and Place (for crate).
Valerie has been at our facility, in training for two months since being adopted by our organization. She passed initial temperament testing, but does not do well with men. She would be better suited to live with adult women, with no children in the household.
Most service dogs fail public access training because they will become uncertain or suspicious of certain people or certain places and may bark. These dogs still do well within the home and when taken on walks, to dog parks, etc., but will just not be suitable as a working service dog with full public access.
This dog is available to an approved applicant for the adoption fee of $500.00 which will help cover some of the costs invested by the nonprofit so another dog can be trained for the disabled. This dog is available through Little Angels Service Dogs. To schedule an interview and to meet Nanuk please call Little Angels at # and a trainer will be able to assist you.
